Click to View Poster  – Hanover School Division is hosting a Career Café & Exhibition on Wednesday, April 5, 5:30pm to 8pm, at Steinbach Regional Secondary School. This exciting event is open to all Hanover School Division students and their parents/guardians because it’s never too early to start career preparation!  The Career Café is an opportunity for students, along with their parents or guardians, to meet individuals from the business community and speak one-on-one with them about their careers.  In the Career Café setting, individuals will be able to share their career journey with students, including how they became interested in their current field, what education/training they needed, what they do in a typical day and any advice to students considering a job in their field. There will be over 40 professionals from 16 different industries!  In addition to the Career Café, the main foyer will have display booths from over 29 exhibitors representing many diverse businesses, sector councils and organizations that can help in career development planning and decision making. These exhibitors will be able to provide additional information, guidance and expertise.  Youth Employment Services will be on hand to provide resume and cover letter help as well as financial/tuition information for youth in care. Manitoba Metis Federation will also be on hand to provide post-secondary and financial information for people who recognize themselves as Metis, non-Status, First Nations or Inuit.  Come learn about myBlueprint. It is HSD’s innovative online education and career planning tool.
